Description

'Crocodile Tears' is a term used a lot in theater to describe fake crying. Also, "The expression comes from an ancient anecdote that crocodiles weep in order to lure their prey."

If you know my work you have undoubtedly seen my other statuesque-style paintings and this is one of the same. I don't know why I like that concept, I just do! I used my own hands for reference.

So, back to the concept, it's supposed to be a model/sculpture that is a little too real. The name, Crocidile Tears, implies that this sculpture is luring the artist to her through sympathy.

Lastly, I wanted to mention that I LOVE SHORT HAIR on women. I'd say it's my favorite aesthetic attribute. I know that isn't a common thing for a guy to think but I believe it takes a very beautiful and feminine face to pull it off, like you see here.
